Bishop Karen developed a love for God’s Word early in life, beginning serious study of the scriptures as a pre-teen. She began teaching the word in Sunday School and other settings in her early twenties. In January 2000 she was appointed Minister, and in October 2004, after successfully completing an intense course of study, exams and examination by the Board of Presbyters, Bishop Karen was ordained an Elder in the Lord’s Church. In June 2006 she was appointed Assistant Pastor of Greater New Life Ministries, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA. where she had been faithfully serving in various capacities. With the untimely passing of her pastor and founder of Greater New Life Ministries, Bishop Robert Bussey, in November 2014, Bishop Karen was elevated to the office of senior pastor. She and Bishop Bussey’s widow both served as senior pastors until December 2022.

 

Pastor Karen attended The School of The Kingdom Institute from 2011-2015; this began a ravenous study of The Gospel of The Kingdom of God. She began teaching The Gospel of the Kingdom of God in 2014 and started a FaceBook page dedicated to this endeavor. Over the past 10 plus years, God has opened doors for Pastor Karen to preach and teach The Gospel of The Kingdom in various settings– often in conclaves and leadership conferences where Bishop Karen presented this teaching to other pastors and Bishops. The reception of this message by other church leaders has been an overwhelming blessing to Bishop Karen.

In June of 2022 Bishop Karen gave birth to and founded C.L.A.P. Ministries– declaring the Word of God with •Clarity •Love •Accuracy and •POWER– with the mission to Educate, Equip, and EMPOWER the body of Christ. In December 2022 the Lord spoke to Bishop Karen saying, “it’s time to move.” Like Abraham, Bishop Karen took a big step of faith, leaving what was familiar, not knowing where she was going, and resigned her position as senior pastor of Greater New Life Ministries, Inc. In June 2024, Bishop Karen’s Bishop, Chief Apostle Samuel A Wright, made public his intent to consecrate Pastor Karen to the Bishopric. The Bull of intent was signed in a ceremony on September 8, 2024, and her Episcopal Consecration Service took place on September 13, 2025.

Bishop Karen Rogers is a gifted, anointed teacher of the Word of God whose main desire in life is to live, preach and teach The Gospel of the Kingdom of God with •Clarity •Love •Accuracy and •POWER (C.L.A.P.) so that men, women, boys and girls would come into the
saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through quality time spent in His Presence and in His Word, they might understand and experience the abundant life and transforming power available to them as sons of God.
